Check the condition of the exact item
Medical equipment and replacement parts can have different inspection and testing histories. Read the condition label and testing status for the individual SKU. A general website statement is not a test certificate for every item.
Understanding testing status
- Pending or untested: do not assume functionality has been verified.
- Tested: ask which functions were checked, when the test took place and what evidence is available. A power-on check is not a full performance test.
- Refurbished: request the documented work carried out and the scope of subsequent testing.
- For parts or as-is: review the stated faults and intended purchase purpose. Do not assume the item is ready for use.
Before purchasing
Ask for the exact model, manufacturer part number, serial number where available, label photographs, condition photographs and any available test report or video. Confirm included cables, probes, accessories, software, licences and manuals individually. Items pictured with equipment are not automatically included.
Compatibility
Match the part number, hardware revision, connector, system model and any software requirements with your equipment. Similar appearance, brand or series alone does not establish compatibility. A qualified biomedical engineer or the equipment manufacturer should confirm suitability where necessary.
Installation and clinical use
A used-equipment listing or functional test does not establish regulatory approval, calibration, electrical safety or suitability for a clinical application. Inspection, installation, maintenance and any required validation must be completed by appropriately qualified personnel before use.
